Prepare

Put your devices on the same network

Open CastSound on your Mac and Android phone. Connect both to the same Wi-Fi network and allow microphone or local-network access when the operating system asks.

3

Connect

Choose the device you recognize

  1. On either device, select the name of the other device.
  2. Check that the names shown on both screens match.
  3. Approve the request on the receiving device and wait for the connected status.

If the device is not listed, scan the code shown on the computer or enter the local address displayed by CastSound.

4

Use CastSound

Choose CastSound in the app you are using

For listening, choose CastSound as the computer’s sound output. For calls or recording, choose CastSound as the microphone. Keep the connection screen open until both listening and speaking are working.

If you get stuck

Check these three things

  • Both devices are on the same non-guest network.
  • CastSound has microphone and local-network permission.
  • A firewall is not blocking CastSound on the computer.

Still not connected? Try the USB tethering guide or contact support.
