One phone. Three jobs.

Uninstall CastSound

Uninstall CastSound completely: Homebrew, AUR, .deb, .rpm, and manual download removal on macOS and Linux, plus Android and iOS.

Remove CastSound from the devices you no longer want to use it on. The steps depend on how you installed it.

macOS

Homebrew

If you installed CastSound with Homebrew, run:

brew uninstall --cask castsound
brew untap castsound/tap

Manual or GitHub download

CastSound installs audio drivers on macOS. Remove them before deleting the app:

/Applications/CastSound.app/Contents/MacOS/castsound-uninstall -y

Then move CastSound.app to the Trash.

Linux

AUR (Arch Linux)

yay -R castsound-bin

Debian or Ubuntu

sudo apt remove castsound

Fedora or Red Hat

sudo dnf remove castsound

Direct download (.tar.gz)

If you installed CastSound from the .tar.gz archive, remove the files that install.sh placed in ~/.local/:

rm -rf ~/.local/share/castsound
rm -f ~/.local/bin/castsound
rm -f ~/.local/share/applications/com.devculi.castsound.desktop

Android and iOS

Uninstall CastSound from your home screen or device settings like any other app.

A Windows version of CastSound is not available yet.
